How can you amount to much when you are not your best? Can you effectively even reach out to help the next person, when you are not sure of yourself?

Where you are at the moment, and where you inspire to be, tomorrow, or much later in the future all depends on you.

You being the best version of yourself simply means you believing in yourself, your abilities, and telling yourself you can amount to much in life.

But can you actually amount to much when you don’t even know how to bring out the best of yourself or how to be the best version of you.Certainly not.

You’re where you are at the moment, because you’ve allowed yourself think less of yourself for so long.

I for one have gone through some things in times past that were so overwhelming.

These things made me feel not so good about myself. They made me cower into my shell, feeling so terrified to come out.

Those things broke me, to the point in which I almost gave up on myself, and things I know I could really do.

But one day, I was thinking deeply, and I remembered the good old days before the storms came and strucked me so hard that I was so low and I couldn’t get up.

Then, I told myself, no one is coming to help me. I need to help myself, I need to snap out of these overwhelming things.

In which fate and life had thrown at me. And make the best version of myself the positive ways I can.

Right now, this moment in which you are reading this piece. I don’t know what life has thrown at you over time.

I don’t know your story and how far you may have come or the struggles you are presently going through.

That has made you give up on yourself. Hence, making you not to be the best version of you.

Life has its ups and downs. But it’s important that when the down moments comes, you don’t stay down for so long.

You need to endeavour to take the bull by the horn. Look yourself in the mirror, and tell yourself that, you can be the best version of you.

No matter what comes your way today, tomorrow, or in the nearest future.

Hence, below are few steps you need to take inorder to be the best version of yourself the best ways you can;

1. Know why you need to be the best version of yourself.

When you decide to venture into anything at all in life. Be it business, or school, or to acquire a skill, etc.

It’s paramount you know why you are actually doing what you are doing.

When you decide to go into any business venture, the business, is to at least provide some sort of quality services. To as many people as you can, and in the process generate a tangible revenue as a reward.

And if you decide going to school, it’s because you want to overcome your ignorance and know what’s right and wrong, and also be grounded on how to face life from where you are.

On the other hand perharps, you choose to acquire a skill because you have a passion for it, and you enjoy doing what you are skillful for,and hope to earn from it,and so on.

Therefore, if this moment you decide that you want to be the best version of yourself, you need to know why you are taking this decision.

Are you tired of how your life is going? Do you feel deep down within you that you deserve more and can be better?

You need to figure these out beforehand, that way, whatever reason you have will guide you each day on your journey into becoming that great person you want to be.

2. Come up with a goal.

Goals are maps that guides you into wherever you want to go in life.

Once you’ve figured out why you want to become the best version of yourself. You need to come up with concrete goal/s that would guide you step by step into the things you need to do.

This way, you won’t get distracted and divert into something that would only make you worse than you were initially.

3. Wake up early.

When you start your day right, it’s most definitely your day will at least go well and smooth.

But if you started it off being overly hasty and being grumpy, you’d feel so low or overly stressed almost all day long.

Waking up early, is not only a great habit. But it shows you have a high chance of being successful at whatever you decide to do.

You can’t say you want to be the best version of yourself, when you don’t endeavour to wake up early and start your day with high hopes irrespective of which side of your bed you woke up on for the day.

Hence, inorder to be the best version of yourself, you need to start setting that alarm to wake you up everyday, at a particular time. And set you out into being that productive person you want to be.

4. Be Disciplined.

Almost everyone wants to be someone great. Wants to be someone in whom others can emulate for good character and good conducts.

Everyone wants to be a success. But are you willing to pay the price? Can you go the extra mile and do what the other person ain’t doing?

You’ve figured out why you want to be the best version of yourself. You’ve come up with a goal/goals on things you want to do.

And you’ve decided to wake up early in order to begin your day in a good note. But how can you achieve all these if you ain’t disciplined?

Discipline is the antidote you need to make you metamorphized into being that best version of yourself you need to be.

Without you having discipline for the things you need to do, you cannot become who you envision in your mind to be.

5. Do not give up on you.

In the process of becoming the best version of you. You are most definitely bound to face and come across hurdles, distractions, and setbacks.

That would question the decision you’ve made to being the best version of yourself.

When this time comes, you need to remind yourself strongly again why you are on the journey of becoming the best version of yourself.

You need to tell yourself and make up your mind not to give up on the things you want.

You need to tell yourself you can do and bring out the best in you, no matter what happens.

6. Don’t accommodate laziness.

It’s very ok to take a break and rejuvenate and regain your lost strengths and energy.

And also, it’s cool to want to cut yourself some slack once in a while. But don’t overly get relaxed for so long.

When you tend to relax for so long, it breeds room for laziness. And once laziness sets in, you tend to loose the main purpose in which you wanted to be the best version of you in the first place.

Then you start slacking on your written goals. You start waking up late. Then you get slacked on being disciplined.

Keep in mind that, laziness sets you 10 steps backwards hence; never allow this.

7. Stay focused.

There are a whole lot of distractions here and there. Trying to distracts you from focusing on the things you have to do, or need to do.

But it’s your choice to allow them crush you or to stay focused on the things you want to do that would help you into becoming the best version of you.

Therefore, no matter what, stay focused! Remember that, you owe yourself the habit of being focused, always remember that..

8. Be grateful.

Yeah,you might have been through hell and back. And most times you’d ask yourself why should you even be grateful?

Well, being grateful often makes life a bit easier. I realized this a while ago when I was in a pit and needed a miracle.

I started being grateful for the things I had at the time. I was grateful for everything I could remember. And guess what?

Over time, things took a positive turn. And today, am thankful that am sharing this piece with you.
